Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Ram 3500 you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F2560.This is what our bags look like when they're installed. These are very, very simple to install. You can do it in your driveway with your truck on the ground. The kit's going to come with your airbags, one for each side, your top and bottom bracket, your hardware to mount your bags to your brackets, and then the hardware to mount your brackets to your frame, or to your axle on the bottom and your frame on the top. It's also going to come with your hardware to run your air lines back to the back of your vehicle.Here in the back of the vehicle, we're going to have our air fittings, so we can manually air up our bags. Our bags are going to be double convoluted. more

Firestone Coil-to-Air-Spring Conversion Kit Installation - 2012 Ram 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 RAM 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone coil to air spring conversion kit for the rear axle, part number F2595.To begin your installation, what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to get measurements on the back and the front for normal ride heights. Now we've gone ahead and done that and you can see here we've added approximately 1,000 pounds. And what it's done to the back end of the vehicle is its dropped it three inches. It's also raised the front end about a quarter of an inch. What that's going to do is it's going to add unnecessary wear and tear on the tires and pressure on the suspension.In front of the vehicle, it's going to affect your steering and handling and overall affect your braking. So now with our load back in our truck, our airbags installed, we're able to get not quite the normal ride height or the factory ride height but we are within a half inch to level with the front end. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ram 1500, you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs for the rear, part number AL60818.The reason we want air bags, when we have weight in the back of our truck without the air bags, it lowers our back end. It's going to raise the front end. What that's going to do, it's going to bring our headlights up, it's going to put unnecessary wear and tear on our tires, it's going to make our steering really light, and it's going to affect our braking. With our airbags, where going to be able to bring that right height back up to normal, with weight on it, bring our headlights down, change our steering back to normal, along with our braking, and it's going to change the way our tires wear.This is what our polyurethane bags look like when they're installed. These are going to give you 1,000 low-leveling support. You're going to have a max psi of 35 lbs, and you want no less than 5 psi while traveling with the bags. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ram 2500 we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, for the rear axle part number is F2706.Now the need for airbags typically comes from towing or hauling situations, we're either gonna load the back of our truck up with a bunch of stuff, this one happens to have a fifth wheel so it's gonna have a lot of pin weight on it, maybe you've got a heavy utility trailer and it's causing sag in the rear of your truck. Now that's a negative thing, we don't want sag in the back of the truck that's putting unnecessary stress on that rear suspension system. By adding in an airbag kit like we've done we're gonna use that capability of that airbag to level our suspension back out. That's gonna take that excess pressure off of the rear end and give us a much longer lasting suspension system.Now as a by product of sag in the rear of our vehicle the front of our vehicle is going to raise up slightly. Now that doesn't sound like a big deal but just think how much pressure it takes to lift the front of the truck. When we put that weight on the back and the front end comes up we're taking a lot of weight off the front tires, when we do that steering, handling, and braking are all gonna be kind of numb, they're not gonna be as sharp and as crisp as they typically feel. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2017 Ram 2500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ram 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Firestone Ride Rite air helper springs that are double convoluted for the rear axle, part number F2580. So on the left side of our screen, you'll see what the vehicle's like going down our test course with a heavy load on the suspension. This is with the factory suspension in place. On the right, we have it with the airbags installed. You can see when we're going over bumps how much greater the stability is and how much less rebound there is with the airbags, giving us a better ride, improved stability, and greater safety.We'll give this a load leveling capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. I would like to point out they won't add 5,000 pounds to our gross vehicle weight rating. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the AirLift LoadLifter 5000 air springs for the rear axle, part number AL57365.These bags are going to have a load leveling capacity of 5000 pounds, helping your vehicle drive more like stock when loaded by reducing sway and absorbing load shock. They're also going to have a capacity of 5 to 100 PSI. These bags also allow you to increase or decrease air in each bag separately for uneven loads.As you can see here, we have about 1500 pounds loaded in the back of our truck. Now, this is on the stock suspension. You can see it lowered us almost four inches. What this is going to do is this is going to put a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on your suspension, but also unnecessary wear and tear on your tires. more

The part number is AL57280. Here's what our airbags look like installed. As you can see they've completely replaced that factory jounce bumper. This is going to give us a lot more support back here on the rear end. It's also going to soften it up so when we do have a heavy load on, that jounce bumper isn't constantly hitting the axle. more

There are what our Firestone airbags are going to look like when they are installed. They are going to replace your factory jounce stop. They are going to help improve your handling and the squatting in the back when you have a heavy load. Now, it's going to accomplish this by using the air lines, which will supply our bags and has an operating range between five and 100 DFF. Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2016 Ram 1500 TDR1500DQ- Video
Robert C.: Today on our 2016 RAM 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TDR1500DQ. Now these springs are going to be great for when you're hauling heavy loads. It's going to take some of the sag out of the vehicle, but at the same time, when you're not hauling anything, it'll still ride smooth, just like from the factory. You can definitely see the size difference between our factory spring and our new Timbren spring. The main difference of how it's going to work is that this is going to come in contact with the axle whenever you have a heavy load. What that is going to do is provide a cushion and act as a shock absorber, and actually get more rigid with the more weight you have. Whereas the factory bump stop is really just there so that the frame doesn't make contact. Now the left and right spring are going to work independently from each other, helping out with swing, body roll, and in case of a sharp maneuver if you have to swerve to get out of the way. In conclusion, these springs are going to become an active part of your suspension, and they're going to help reduce the wear and tear over time. Now before we begin our installation, I want to get a few measurements. The truck unloaded factory height is going to be just a little bit over 39" right here at the top of the wheel well. more

Today on our 2010 Ram 1500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Air Lift Low Lifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number AL57365. All right, here's what our airbags look like installed. They're a direct replacement for the factory bump stops. These airbags will give our vehicle 5000 pounds of low leveling support. They won't allow us to put an additional 5000 pounds of weight in the bed of truck or tow an additional 5000 pounds of weight behind us on our trailer. This will make your vehicle drive more like stock when you're having a heavy load in it or towing a heavy trailer. These bags are designed to work with between 5 pounds of air pressure all the way up to a 100 pounds of air pressure. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we're going to show you how to install the Firestone Ride Rite Double Convoluted Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. The part number is F2580. Now before we begin our installation, we're going to get a couple of measurements here inside the rear wheel well and the front wheel wells, so we have them for reference. It looks like we're right at about 43 1/2 here on the back and about 40 1/4 here in the front. Now we've loaded about 175 gallons of water in the back here, just to simulate either 5th wheel or gooseneck weight here, or a trailer load on the back and let's see what we've got now as far as measurements. It's like we're down here about 2 inches to 41 1/2 and we've come up about 1/4 inch here in the front to 40 1/2. All right, we got the same load in the back of the truck now, just a bit more wet out here this afternoon, so we're going to use our inflater here. more

Here's what these airbags look like, once they're installed on your truck. One of the main difference between these airbags and some of the other rear suspension enhancements that are out there on the market, is that these, you can adjust the air pressure to just how stiff or soft they are. They don't just get stiffer the heavier the load. You can adjust them to have them set at whatever you'd like them to be. They help maximize the safe load carrying capacity of your vehicle. They help level out your truck when hauling the load, which assists with safer breaking, handling, improves your headlight angle, and helps reduce uneven tire wear. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Ram 1500- Video
Today in our 2013 RAM 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs, part number AL57365. We're going to go ahead and take some measurements of the vehicle at stock right height. The rear of about 40 and 1/2 and the front we're at about 37 and 1/4. We're going to go ahead and put about 1,400 pounds in the back and we'll get some measurements there before we put our airbags into place. We've loaded our vehicle down to about 36 and 1/2 in the rear and about 37 and 3/4, it came up, in the front. Now with our load back in there at about 25 pounds of air in our bags, we're back at 40 and 1/4, right about 1/4 of an inch of where we started from when there was nothing in the truck to start with. We're at 37 and 1/2 and we started from stock at 37 and 1/4, so we came up about 1/4 in the front. more

These air helper springs will help with taming the load in the rear of your truck by keeping it more level and reducing the strain caused by heavy loads such as campers, construction equipment, or heavy tools. The simple instructions help make them easier to install. The bags themselves have adjustable air pressure settings from 5 to 100 PSI. These will not increase your weight carrying capacity so you want to be sure to double check your manufacturer's weight limit. Before we start our installation, let's get a measurement to see how high the rear of our truck sits unloaded. It's about 43 and a quarter inches. Let's also get a measurement to see where the front sits. more

Firestone Work-Rite Air Helper Springs Kit Installation - 2014 Ram 2500- Video
Today on this 2014 Ram 2500 Crew Cab we're going to show you the Firestone Work Right Custom Helper Spring Kit, part number F8611. With a heavy load, the rear suspension will sag and reduce handling. When Work Right springs are installed these springs will also increase the driving stability and handling giving you more control when hauling a load down the road. You can see how the spring actually just barely touches the inaudible 00:00:29 axle, which is perfectly okay. Under normal circumstances when the truck's not loaded, you probably won't feel much at all. When the truck does get loaded, it actually compresses on the springs a little bit and will actually level up the load on the inside of the truck. In this case, it's probably going to be a gooseneck trailer. We'll go ahead and lift the weight of the truck off the suspension to give us a little more working room. more

Today on this 2013 Ram 1500 crew cab, we're going to show you part number TDR1500DQ. This is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System. This is what the suspension enhancement looks like when it's installed in a truck. Now, with this part number, you get two Aeon Hollow Rubber springs. What this does basically, it replaces the factory bump stop which was originally located in the same spot. What this does is it actually reaches down, closer to the axle and it starts working when you put a load in your truck. Typically, you have an inch of clearance from your axle and the bottom of the rubber spring, so your truck will ride normally before you put a load into it. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2014 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 we're going to be installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TDR1500DQ. With the new Timbren installed here on the driver side you'll notice that there's maybe 1-1/2" or so from the bottom of the Timbren to the top plate here on the axle. Now over here on the passenger side with the factory bump stops still in place we have just under 3-1/2" from the bottom of the bump stop to the top of the plate here. By having the shorter distance it will help provide the additional support you need when carrying or towing a heavy load, yet it will still give you a nice smooth, comfortable ride. Now we're going to begin here underneath the vehicle. We're going to be removing the factory bump stops, so it's this yellow piece right here - we're on the driver side - as well as this piece over here. Right here is the passenger side. more

Today on our 2012 Gram Pickup 2500 series, well be installing the Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Springs, part number f2299. Now the vehicle that well be installing these on today is a gas motor as well as a 4x4.Now here's our bottom bracket, we're over here on the driver's side, you'll notice how there's a difference between here and here. It depends on whether you have a gas or a diesel vehicle. This particular truck is a gas motor so we're going to be using the narrower opening here, and what this done is it fits in between the U-bolt here on the axil. So we'll just kind of show you how it slides into place. So now it can't really move around. more

Our vehicle with the manufacture set-up and no weight measuring from the driver's side rear wheel well to the ground is 43 inches. With approximately 2,000 pounds added to the bed, changes it to approximately 4 1/4 inches. Now we'll take the vehicle and run it through our test course. We'll go through our slalom course and the body role will be excessive with the weight. Now as we go over the bumps course, you'll notice the large suspension travel with the weight in the bed of the vehicle. Now, with our new Air Lift helper springs installed and approximately 70 PSI in our airbag system, it will hold the 2,000 pounds to 41 3/4 inches for only 1 1/4 inch drop from our factory ride heighth with no weight. Now with our air helper springs installed and the same weight in the back, we'll repeat the same process going through our slalom course. more
